Brass Compression Fittings
ATFIT compression fittings provide users with an economical choice with numerous connection options for a wide variety of tube materials without the need for flaring, soldering or other tube preparation necessary to assemble.
Compatible with:
- Copper tube
- Brass tube
- Aluminium tube
- Plastic tube (with insert)
Note: Not recommended for steel tubing.
Assembly instructions
- Cut the tube square and deburr.
- Slide the nut and sleeve onto the tube.
- Add insert if using a plastic tube.
- Shoulder the tube in the fitting and hand-tighten the nut onto the fitting.
- Lubricate the thread and assembly nut to the fitting body.
- Wrench tighten past hand-tight (1 ¼ turns for 1/8” to ¼”, 2 ¼ turns for 1”).
Material specification:
- Free cutting IS-319/CZ-121
- CA360 Brass for bar stock fittings
- CA377 Brass for forged fittings
- Lead free, DZR, bronze, etc and other special copper alloys as per customer specifications.
Threads:
- UNFE, BSPT, BSP, NPT, and any special threads as per customer specifications.
Pressure:
- Working pressure up to 2000 PSI with a 4:1 safety factor, depending on tube size.
Vibration:
- Fair resistance. Use a long nut for greater vibration resistance.
Temperature range:
- -65° F to + 250°F (-53°C to 121°C) range at maximum operating pressure. (Refer to tubing temperature range.)
